London Bus Transformation
Transforming a London Bus into a Travelling Musical Space
One of the most distinctive and memorable commissions we’ve had the pleasure of working on was the transformation of a traditional London bus for Snail’s Progress — a travelling musical production created by Victor and Sarah.
This imaginative project required a balance of creativity, practicality, and technical skill. Our role included:
- Upholstering the interior seating, ensuring comfort, durability, and a cohesive aesthetic for performers and audience members.
- Designing and installing the front trim, adding character and visual continuity to the newly reimagined space.
- Dressing the stage area, creating a functional and visually appealing setting that supported the storytelling and performance.
The End result
The result was a completely transformed mobile venue — a wonderful example of how thoughtful design and skilled execution can bring even the most unconventional ideas to life.
At House of Garrod, our work extends far beyond homes.
We regularly collaborate on commercial, creative, and one-of-a-kind projects, and we welcome commissions that challenge convention.
Whether it’s a residential room scheme, a business interior, a specialist tailoring request, or a unique project like this musical bus, no brief is too big, too small, or too unusual.
If you have an idea — even a completely unexpected one — we’d be delighted to discuss it.
